Hunter Hill First Missionary Baptist Church of Atlanta, Georgia is a ministry on the move, committed to living out God’s call in every area of life.

 

Our Mission

We are called to:

  • Evangelize & Enlighten the sinner (Matthew 28:19)

  • Embrace & Encourage the suffering (John 3:16–18)

  • Equip & Empower the saints (Luke 9:1–6)

  • Exalt the Savior (Psalm 34:3)

What We Believe

We believe in a God who saves, heals, and delivers. Our faith is rooted in Scripture, centered on Jesus Christ, and led by the Holy Spirit.

 

We believe worship is both celebration and strength, lifting our voices in praise, standing on God’s promises, and holding on to hope through every trial.

 

We believe the church is a family, called to love one another, serve our community, and work for justice as a witness to God’s kingdom on earth.

Faith In Action

As a Missionary Baptist church, we believe faith is not only expressed in worship but also in action. Our tradition has long emphasized being a voice of hope and strength in the community, offering encouragement, education, and support for those in need. Guided by the Gospel, we see our calling as both spiritual and practical — proclaiming Christ while also meeting people where they are.

 

This commitment leads us to stand for justice, extend compassion, and seek the well-being of our neighbors. Whether through service, outreach, or fellowship, we strive to live out a faith that uplifts and empowers. In doing so, we carry forward the legacy of the Missionary Baptist tradition, where faith and action walk hand in hand.

Our Core Beliefs

As a Missionary Baptist church, our faith is rooted in God’s Word and centered on Jesus Christ. These core beliefs guide our worship, shape our ministry, and unite us as a family of faith.

The Bible

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith and practice.

 

God

We believe in one true and living God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

 

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again with power and victory.

 

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, giving power for holy living, guidance, and service.

 

Baptism & The Lord’s Supper

We practice baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper as ordinances given by Christ to His church.

Salvation

We believe salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, offered freely to all who repent and believe.

 

The Church

We believe each local church is a self-governing body of believers, called to worship, fellowship, and service.

 

Mission & Evangelism

We are committed to the Great Commission, sharing the Gospel and making disciples at home and abroad.

 

Christian Living

We believe God calls every believer to live by prayer, obedience, and service as a witness to Christ in the world.

 

The Return of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return again, and God’s people will share eternal life with Him.
